Handcrafted wedding calligraphy for your special day
Every piece made by hand, with nib and ink, designed to give your wedding the elegance that digital printing simply cannot replicate.
Hello!
I'm Elisabet, an artisan calligrapher based in Málaga. For over ten years I've been writing by hand for couples who want every detail of their wedding to tell a story: the envelope that arrives at a guest's home before anyone else, the place card each person takes home as a keepsake, the vows that will be framed and treasured forever.
I work with intimate weddings that are full of artisan detail, and with large celebrations where calligraphy is part of the visual identity of the event. In both cases, the process is the same: I listen, I understand your style, and I write every piece as if it were unique — because it is.
What I can create for your wedding
Envelope addressing
The first physical contact your guests have with your wedding. An envelope addressed by hand with a nib and ink in Copperplate or modern calligraphy sets the tone from the very first moment. I personalise each guest's name and address in the style that best suits your aesthetic.
Place cards and seating
From individual cards to large-format seating charts. Every name written by hand, in your chosen calligraphic style and on the material that best complements your décor: paper, kraft, card, wood, slate or acrylic.
Handwritten vows
Your words, written with the calligraphy they deserve. Delivered on high-quality paper, ready to read on your wedding day and keep forever. One of the most treasured pieces — and the one that lasts the longest.
Full wedding stationery
If you want visual consistency throughout the celebration, I can create the complete collection: invitations, envelopes, menus, ceremony programmes, signage, welcome signs, dessert tables and any other piece you need. All in the same calligraphic style and colour palette, so everything works together beautifully.
Engraving on glasses, bottles and wedding details
Champagne flutes for the bride and groom, wine or cava bottles for the top table, keepsake jars for guests. Artisan engraving with a rotary tool gives a permanent, tactile finish of the highest perceived value. Also available with gold or silver foil on glass or metal surfaces.
Live calligraphy on your wedding day
One of the most special experiences I can offer: being present during the cocktail hour or reception, personalising pieces in front of your guests. Each person receives something unique written in the moment, and you get one of the most original and talked-about memories of the entire celebration.
Techniques and finishes
Nib and ink — classic calligraphy on paper. Available in black, sepia, white and custom colours to match your wedding palette.
Gold and silver inks — for pieces that call for a luminous, elegant finish. Highly photogenic and perfect for glamorous or timeless wedding aesthetics.
Acrylic paints — for personalising non-porous surfaces: glass, metal, ceramic. Ideal for glasses, bottles and wedding details.
Rotary engraving — permanent artisan incision on glass and metal. The most exclusive finish for high-end wedding gifts and keepsakes.
Gold and silver foil — metallic leaf applied by hand to paper and card. Ideal for premium invitations and stationery with a hot-stamping-style finish.
How we work together
Production time depends on the volume and the pieces involved: for full stationery suites I recommend getting in touch at least two to three months in advance. For individual pieces or live calligraphy on the day, four to six weeks is usually enough.
I work from Málaga and ship anywhere in Spain. For destination weddings, I travel wherever you need me.
Everything starts with a conversation. You tell me about your wedding style, your colours, the number of pieces you need and your dates. I'll suggest the technique and calligraphic style that best suits you, and if needed I'll send a physical sample before confirming the full order.
Frequently asked questions
-
For full stationery suites, ideally two to four months before the wedding. For individual pieces like place cards or vows, four to six weeks is usually enough. For live calligraphy on the wedding day, book as early as possible — peak season dates fill up quickly.
-
Always. For volume orders, envelopes, place cards, full stationery, I'll send a physical sample in your chosen style before producing the full run. That way everything is exactly as you envisioned, with no surprises.
-
I work primarily in Copperplate, the classic English script, with its elegant fine and thick strokes, and in modern brush styles, which are more fluid and expressive. I also work in Italic and Gothic if they suit your wedding aesthetic. Tell me your style and I'll suggest what works best.
-
Yes, I ship throughout Spain. For weddings abroad, I've done it before, just ask.
-
Yes. I work in any Latin language, Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and also in Cyrillic, which makes me the ideal choice for Russian and Ukrainian couples celebrating destination weddings on the Costa del Sol. If this is you, don't hesitate to get in touch.
-
That's exactly what I'm here for. If you want visual coherence across all your pieces — invitations, envelopes, menus, signage, place cards — we create them as a complete collection with the same calligraphic style and colour palette throughout.
-
It happens. We factor this in from the start: I always recommend ordering a small number of extra pieces to cover last-minute changes without additional production costs.
